The works of Klimt inspired me as an Artist ahead of his time. I wanted to produce an inspirational painting using modern techniques such as acrylics, texture paste and gel pen whilst at the same time using golden leaf, which was traditional for his time. His images seemed to go against the usual classicism which was popular at the time. I like to learn from classic painters but with Klimt, a type of collage seemed more appropriate.

The work is meant to convey an idea of the profound themes and emotions of Gustav Klimt. It contains intricate details and vibrant colours, as Klimt might utilise. It has the central figure of woman with child, but also includes the gold leaf spiral motif which represents the tree of life, so prominent in some of Klimt's works. The composition exudes a sense of unity and harmony, capturing the beauty of human connection. It has symbolic themes of love, spirituality, and the human experience.
